A FAMILY from North Yorkshire have been raising smiles as well as funds during the lockdown.

Robin Saunders and his brother Felix had the idea of wearing fancy dress during their walks round the village and have already doubled their fundraising target of £65.

They have been joined by their mum, Angela. She said: “We know it’s a difficult time for charities at the moment and we wanted to help. It was the boys’ idea to dress up and we’ve been trying to get creative with our outfits.” We do bits of fundraising where we can and we found out about the work of Saint Catherine’s through a local business networking group.”

The family’s outfits have included Super Mario, a horse, The Boy in the Dress, a clown, the Greatest Showman and an Egyptian.

Angela said: “The reaction has been brilliant, with vans tooting their horns, tractor drivers waving and neighbours laughing and smiling as we go by.”

“People know it’s for a good cause and the boys are over the moon with how much they’ve raised.”
