ONLY three new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the whole of York in the last 24 hours, after none yesterday.
Public Health England said tonight that the total number of cases in the City of York Council area since the start of the pandemic was 12,179 - only three more than it was on Friday.
The small number of cases over the past two days has pushed the rolling seven day rate down below 30 again, to 29 cases per 100,000 population.
North Yorkshire's rate has fallen to 41.6, while East Yorkshire's is 67.7,and the average rate for the whole of England is 56 per 100,000.
