Firefighters rescued 58 birds from a burning aviary in Howden
Firefighters rescued 58 birds from a fire at an aviary in Howden last night.
They were called to the fire, in Derwent Cresent, just before 11pm.
The aviary, plus three sheds, a children's playhouse, a summerhouse and three cylinders, were all destroyed.
Oxygen therapy was given to a man suffering from smoke inhalation.
