The number of coronavirus cases in York has fallen by another four in the latest figures from Gov.UK.

In the seven days up to March 28, there were just 61 cases of the virus recorded in York, giving the city a rolling infection rate of 29/ 100,000 - well below the national average.

Most of the city's wards are now coloured white on Gov.UK's interactive map, indicating fewer than three cases.

Holgate West, where cases doubled from 4 to 8 in the miost recent fiogures, giving a rolling infection rate of 85.4, is now the worst affected area of the city - though it's infection rate is still below the national average.

York city centre, Huntington, Westfield and Stockton-on-the-Forest are the only other three wards that now have three or more cases.

In North Yorkshire as a whole, the total number of cases fell by 38 to 251, at a 'rolling rate' of 40.6/ 100,000 cases. The East Riding of Yorkshire also saw a fall in cases, down 51 to 206 and a rolling rate of 60.4/100,000.
