ONLY two Covid patients are now being treated in intensive care at York and Scarborough hospitals - but the total number of patients with the illness has risen.
York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust said today that it currently had 29 confirmed and suspected Covid-19 inpatients Trust-wide, which is up from 24 last week.
However, it had two such patients in its ICUs (intensive care units,) which is down from four last week.
The trust said it had discharged a total of 2,120 Covid patients since the start of the pandemic, or who were no longer being treated as Covid.
