A THEATRE in York is all ready to stage a comeback next month.
The Joseph Rowntree Theatre in Haxby Road is reopening its doors on Friday, May 21 with a show from the Bev Jones Musical Company, "Strictly Cabaret".
Tickets for the show go on sale today, (Tuesday April 6) and the theatre has a line-up of nine shows set to play between May and August.
Dan Shrimpton, chairman of the theatre trustees, said: "We're thrilled to be staging live shows once again and welcoming audiences back through our theatre doors. We've missed the buzz of putting on a show and can't wait for opening night."
"We've worked hard to make sure our theatre is Covid-safe. The new procedures and processes we've put in place have all been tried and tested. Our priority is to make sure your theatre experience is a safe one."
