POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information about a shop theft that occurred in Bedale.
The incident happened at the Co-op on the Market Place at about 11.40am on Saturday March 6 and involved a lone woman.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire POlice said: "About £70 worth of mostly perishable goods were stolen. It is understood that on the same date, the woman returned to the store a few hours later and attempted to steal more goods before being challenged by staff."
