POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information about a burglary that occurred in York.
The incident happened in Maythorn Road, Huntington, at 4am today (Tuesday April 6), and involved a man entering a property through the front door. The suspect was challenged and made off – it is not believed anything was stolen.
North Yorkshire Police are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
A spokesperson for the force said: "The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 40-50 years of age, 5ft 6 or 7ins tall, overweight build, possibly bald and clean shaven, wearing a dirty blue surgical mask, a black woolly Kangol hat, a dark green/khaki waterproof bomber jacket, and light-coloured trousers."
