POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information about a '2-in-1' burglary that occurred in York - during which two cars and a bicycle were stolen.
On the evening of Thursday April 1, a dark blue Audi A6, a blue Toyota Yaris and a green Canyon mountain bicycle were stolen from the rear of an address in St Marys, off Bootham. The suspects had entered the victim’s home and taken keys to the cars.
The Audi was discovered the next day (Friday April 2) at about 9am in Garfield Terrace off Leeman Road. Two men exited the car and made off from the area. The Toyota was also recovered later in Evelyn Terrace. Both vehicles had sustained damage. The bicycle was found in Marygate.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
"We are appealing for information about the occupants of the cars and the routes they had taken, and any CCTV footage that may have covered the incident."
