YORK is set to get temporary public toilets and new litter bins as the city enters the next stage of the Government's roadmap.
City of York Council laid out its next steps ahead of April 12 - the date which will see non-essential retail and outdoor hospitality return to the high street as well as hairdressers and nail salons.
Other changes include the reopening of libraries, community centres and indoor leisure facilities.
The Council also plans to allocate additional cleaning around the city centre as well as a collect option at Covid-19 testing sites.
In a bid to make it easier for people to get tested, symptom-free testing will be available to all adults and children of secondary school age and above.
