A YORK hairdresser has told of his excitement at finally being able to reopen from lockdown tomorrow.
Sam Olgar, who has a salon in Bridge Street, contacted The Press as England prepares for the next stage in the Government's 'roadmap' out of lockdown, which will allow hair salons and non-essential shops to reopen, along with outdoor hospitality.
He said:"We are so excited to be opening again and are already booked up for the next few weeks.
"It will be so nice to see all our lovely clients again. We will be very happy.
"We have found this time as difficult as anyone but we have tried to stay positive. It has not been easy for everyone but we tried our best to survive.
"We are very lucky that our landlord has been very good and understanding.
"We hope this will be the last lockdown."
