IT'S not often you see a famous film star when out walking your dog, let alone in rural Ryedale.

However, Sarah Jones, who run Pear Tree House B&B and Holiday Cottage in Pickering, was lucky to spot American actor Tom Cruise.

The star flew in by helicopter to the site of his film set near Pickering.

It is understood he is filming for Mission: Impossible 7 in which Tom stars as Ethan Hunt.

Mission: Impossible 7 is scheduled to be released in the United States next year.

Sarah said: "We were walking the dogs today and bumped into Tom Cruise.

"Not only do we love Pickering and our stunning countryside but it was chosen for filming Tom's new film."
