A PLANT nursery close to York is opening during National Gardening Week.
The Royal Horticultural Society is encouraging people to celebrate the feel-good power of gardens during the week from April 26 to May 2.
As part of this, Stillingfleet Lodge Garden, an RHS partner garden, will be open on Wednesday, April 28, Friday, April 30, Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2, from 1pm to 5pm.
The organic garden which is managed to encourage wildlife is the perfect place to connect with nature, with many seats to give visitors the chance to sit and be surrounded by birdsong.
It also has a plant nursery with a wide range of unusual hardy plants.
Owner Vanessa Cook said: “Our garden is the perfect tranquil place to get your dose of gardening and nature. We will also have take-away cake and drinks for you to enjoy after your visit.”
Entry to the garden is £6 for adults and £1 for school-aged children up to 16. Under 5s are free.
