THIEVES have stolen a Land Rover.
North Yorkshire Police say they are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following the theft of a Land Rover Defender 90 from Aislaby, near Whitby.
They say the incident occurred at about 5.20pm this Monday (April 19) and they suspect that the red Defender was driven along the A171 from Whitby towards Guisborough following the theft.
A spokesman for the police said: "We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
"In particular, we are appealing for dash cam footage from any vehicles which may have been travelling along the A171 towards Whitby at this time.
"Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for PC John Spenceley. You can also email john.spenceley@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
