POLICE and firefighters were called in after a crashed car was set on fire.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say they were called out at about 7.07 last night (April 20) to Barlow Common Road in Barlow near Selby.
A spokesman for the service said: "A crew from Selby attended an incident where a car had crashed and landed on its side in the middle of the road.
"No-one was in the vehicle on the arrival of the crew.
"The vehicle had been deliberately set on fire and was burnt out.
"The attending crew used a hose reel jet, two breathing apparatus sets and a thermal imaging camera to dela with the fire.
"The incident was left in the hands of the police.
