THIS area of York currently has the highest weekly recorded Covid case rate, the latest figures show.
Clifton North is shown to have the highest weekly rolling Covid rate with 57.7 cases per 100,000 population, meaning it is shaded dark green on the Public Health England national Covid map.
Huntington, the city centre and Tang Hall are shaded light green, meaning the rate in the area is between 10 and 49. Huntington has a rate of 43.7, the city centre's rate stands at 37.1 and Tang Hall has a rate of 26.4.
The majority of the city is shaded white on the map, meaning that there are less than three cases in the area therefore no data is shown.
The city's overall rate has dropped by 0.5 to 14.7 cases per 100,000 population. This remains below the UK national average rate, which stands at 24.8 cases per 100,000 population.
The PHE data shows that the further six cases recorded in the City of York Council area take the total for the pandemic there to 12,223.
