A VOLVO retailer is investing £1.5m in refurbishing its North Yorkshire showroom which is due to open in December.
Knaresborough-based Stoneacre Harrogate, in St James Retail Park, has reopened for sales and services while the improvements are made.
The new space will feature a lounge area serving Swedish refreshments, with free Wi-Fi.
Large exterior and interior glazing will allow customers to see into the new workshops, while a larger showroom will display more petrol, fully electric and hybrid cars, as well as Volvo Selekt Approved Used models on the forecourt.
The same technician will liaise with the customer from booking through to explaining the services they have carried out. Two technicians working together reduce the duration of the service.
Shaun Foweather, managing director at Stoneacre Motor Group, said the investment had been months in the making.
“This has been a significant investment for us, but our refurbishment is about more than a change of furniture; it’s designed to create a space where our customers can feel relaxed and at ease in an environment that provides flexible waiting, working and assessment areas.
“The launch of our new Volvo Personal Service is already helping to better connect our MoT and service customers with their technicians for a smooth and efficient experience. Our focus is always on putting the customer first and giving them a high-quality service, which they know and trust.
