SCHOOL days - the happiest days of our lives? Were they? Do you still have your old school photos? Can you remember your classmates?
Press reader Deborah Jane Dolman certainly has a good memory.
She posted this photo of Tang Hall primary school in 1961 with teacher Mrs Billingham.
Deborah shared it in The Press's online nostalgia Facebook group, Why We Love York - Memories (click here to join).
Here are the names she remembers: "Myself (Deborah Morley, now Dolman), 3rd row from top, 4th from left. Others I remember; Timothy Perry (back row, 4th from left), Robert Stagnell (back row, 8th from left), Yvonne Anderson (2nd row from top, 6th from left), Judith Cade (next), in a row; Josephine Garrett, myself, Elizabeth Kendall.
"I also recall; Michael Smithson, David Spray, Andrew Dyson, John Ralf (or Rolf), Michael Cussins, Bridget Fairweather.
"In a previous photo from 1960, I recognise Robert Stagnell and Louise Britland, but not myself! Strange, as I remember my first day at school with Louise who refused to sit down, so I stood up at the front of the class with her all day! I also recall the head teacher, Mr Baxter, who seemed to know the name of every child at the school and who would watch us file out of assembly, commenting on those with well-polished shoes." Thanks Deborah for sharing.
And thanks also to Press reader and Why We Love York - Memories group member David Bland who has been posting photos of his days at Fishergate primary.
His first photo is of pupils at Fishergate Primary school 1945-7 and a second shows the Fishergate school boys' swimming team around 1949-50, framed by Mr Farley and headmaster Mr Rayson.
David would love to hear from anyone who recognises themselves.

Finally, we have an image of pupils at Poppleton Road School from about 1955 - posted by John Foggin.
