A MAN has been airlifted to hospital after his car crashed into a tree on a North Yorkshire road.
North Yorkshire Police said the single-vehicle collision happened on Lady Ediths Drive, Scarborough, at about 6.40pm on Thursday.
It said a black Volvo C30 which was being driven from the direction of Forge Valley towards Scalby Road collided with a tree near to Yorkshire Coast College.
"The driver and only occupant was a 28-year-old man who was airlifted to James Cook Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries," said a spokesperson.
"Officers would like to speak to anyone who saw the black Volvo as it travelled towards the scene, or the collision itself, particularly anyone with dashcam footage.
