PAVEMENT cafes were packed under sunny skies in York city centre today at the start of the bank holiday weekend.
The pleasant Continental atmosphere saw tables packed on Kings Staith and in the Coppergate Centre, and on streets including New Street, Parliament Street, Back Swinegate and Fossgate.
Tomorrow should see more sunshine, and temperatures slightly higher, but Monday afternoon is expected to see heavy rain and windy weather.
