The heavy rain in York is expected to ease off slightly later this evening, but may well return in the early hours tonight and early tomorrow morning, according to the Met Office.
The good news is that by about 8am tomorrow is will ease off again, meaning that most of tomorrow will be brighter and drier than today.
Showers are expected to reurn on Monday afternoon, interspersed by sunny spells - and by Tuesday, the Met Office says the weather should be looking brighter in York, although there may still be an isolated shower on Tuesday evening.
Occasional showers with sunny spells will also be the pattern on Wednesday and Thursday.
