Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collison in which a man and a woman died.
A black Mercedes GLA and a red Peugeot 2008 were in collision at the junction of the A165 and the Grindale Road north of Bridlington at 3.30pm on Friday.
The driver and passenger of the Peugeot, a man and a woman in their 30s, died at the scene. A child travelling in the car suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
"The families of the deceased are being supported by specially trained officers and our deepest sympathies are with them at this extremely sad time," a spokesperson for Humberside Police said.
The female driver, and sole occupant, of the Mercedes sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment, where she remains in a serious condition.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the collision or either vehicle before the collision to call them on the non-emergency number 101 quoting log 338 of 7 May 2021.
