FIREFIGHTERS had to be called in after someone jumped off the city walls in York and got stuck.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say they were called out at 10.21 pm last night (May 9) to Station Road in York after reports that someone had jumped off the city walls.
A spokesman for the service said: "A crew from York attended an incident where a person had jumped down from the city walls on to an embankment and become stuck.
"Crews used a 9 metre ladder to rescue them and bring them down to the ground."
