A SPECIALLY commissioned painting of York Vaccination Centre will be unveiled by the artist at the Askham Bar site.

Sue Clayton's artwork features members of the Nimbuscare teams who work at the site - and even includes the cat which visits the site each day.

In addition to displaying Sue’s outdoor portrait exhibition entitled ‘21’, the NHS vaccination centre will showcase Sue's painting in its ‘Tent of Hope’.

Nimbuscare director Michelle Phillips said: “It’s a huge privilege to have this very special art here at the Vaccination Centre. We are especially delighted with the unique painting Sue has done for us and we can’t wait for it to be unveiled. Thanks to everyone who has helped make it happen.”

The ‘21’ exhibition features the son of one of Nimbuscare’s vaccinators, Lead Nurse Theresa Ollerenshaw. Her son Andrew has Down Syndrome and is one of the 21 portraits, inspired by children and adults who have the condition.

The artwork will be unveiled by Sue on Tuesday, May 11.
