A TEENAGE girl was grabbed around the throat in an attack in the street.
North Yorkshire Police say the girl was walking with friends down Wreyfield Drive at 9.15pm on Sunday (May 9) when she was approached by a man who initially shouted at the group and then approached the girl and grabbed her around the throat.
After assaulting the her, the man then left in the direction of Scalby Road.
Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances of the incident in Scarborough and are appealing for information which will help to identify the man.
He is described as white, around six feet tall, of medium build and aged between 30 and 40. He has very short dark hair, was unshaven and was wearing a dark Nike hooded top with a white tick on the front, a dark jacket and black trousers.
