I WAS sad to hear of the death of Nick Kamen, who made female hearts flutter in the unforgettable 1985 Levi’s advert, in which he strips off and waits for his washing wearing only his boxer shorts.
At that time, my housemates and I were among the regulars at our local launderette in London.
We always went along hoping that a Nick Kamen lookalike would wander in and de-robe in front of us.
Sadly, all we got were chain smoking old blokes sitting miserably in front of the dryers - fully dressed, thank goodness.
