FIRE crews rescued three people in the early hours of this morning after a boat starting taking on water.
Crews from Acomb, York, Selby and Malton were called out to Bishopthorpe Bridge in York at 3am.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service removed the three people on the boat and took them to safety.
Firefighters took the group to their second boat while other crew members secured the boat that was taking on water using a 30m line.
A spokesperson for York Rescue Boat said: "All persons safe and accounted for and vessel secured."
