A YORK gym is set to hold a midnight exercise class to mark its first indoor group exercise class of 2021.
The team at David Lloyd in Heslington said they "didn’t want to wait a second longer than necessary" after the Government's five month ban on indoor classes.
It will be a BLAZE class: a dynamic HIIT (high intensity interval training) workout combining mixed martial arts, intense cardio and strength training.
From Monday, May 17, fitness fanatics will not only be able to get back to indoor classes but enjoy saunas and steam rooms.
Kasra Niknam, general manager at David Lloyd York, said: “We’re delighted that we’re finally able to open the doors to our exercise studios again– it’s been a long time coming.
"We didn’t want to wait a second longer than necessary to mark this moment. It’s been nearly five months since our last class. To see our members back in the studios after all this time was a fantastic moment.”
