NO further deaths related to Covid-19 have been recorded at hospitals in the York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - and just five more have beeen recorded across the country.

The latest data from NHS England shows that the total number of deaths related to the virus in the York trust remains at 591.

The trust includes York Hospital and Scarborough.

There has been one more Covid death in the North East and Yorkshire region.

Across England, a further five people who tested positive for coronavirus have died, taking the total number of deaths at hospitals in the country to 87,121.

The dates of death range from April 30 to May 20.

Their families have been informed.
