JUST one Covid patient is still being treated at York Hospital following the huge decline in the infection rate in the city - and the huge number of vaccinations - over the last four months.
The number compares with 157 patients suffering from the coronavirus on January 19, according to City of York Council's latest Covid data tracker report.
The report has other good news for York:
*There are no new Covid cases at any of the city's care homes, and there hasn't been a care home outbreak since February 25.
*Only one person at the University of York is self-isolating after a positive Covid test, and there are none at York St John University.
* Eight council wards had zero Covid cases in the seven days to May 14.
The report also revealed that in the seven days up to Monday, six children of primary or secondary school age tested positive at four different schools.
