A TRAPPED driver has been cut free from their car after it crashed into a hedge on a country lane.
Humberside Fire & Rescue Service said the single vehicle collision happened in Grindale Lane, Grindale, near Bridlington, at just after 5am today.
It said the vehicle was stabilised by fire crews using chocks, wedges and mechanical stabilising arms.
The driver, who was trapped, was released using hydraulic spreaders and manually lifted from the car onto a patient board and into an ambulance, while a passenger had managed to release themself on the arrival of fire crews.
Both casualties were taken to hospital.
