A RETAILER in York has reopened its store after a "fabulous" makeover - making space for new departments.

Dunelm reopened its new look store in York on Friday September 10. The store was opened at 8am, exclusively for members of the Dunelm York Community Support Facebook group, by a member of the local community, who has shopped in the store since it first opened.

The first 20 members through the doors received an exclusive goody bag. The store then opened at 9am to remaining customers with the first 50 customers through the doors receiving a gift voucher to spend in-store.

Shaun, the store manager at Dunelm in York, said: “We are so excited to showcase our home improvements to our amazing customers.

"We hope that they love the new look and feel, and they enjoy shopping our store as much as we enjoy working in it.

"With all the latest concepts and fantastic new products, I think we are now giving the York community a Dunelm store they can hopefully be proud of.”

The makeover at the Dunelm store has made space for new departments, including Decorate and Co-ordinate – the one stop shop for all your decorating needs, including Dunelm’s own brand of paints, and Make and Mend – where you can make "all your haberdashery dreams can come true."

The new format store features more inspiration and an even better shopping experience, with a new concept Made to Measure department, full of the latest fabrics to choose from. The store also features a new look Pausa coffee shop and an even bigger ‘Take Home Today’ furniture department, making it easier for customers to take home what they see on the day.
