FILM crews have descended upon the historic streets of York city centre once again.
A van belonging to film and TV lighting company PKE Lighting was parked at St Helen's Square this morning with team members unloading boxes.
The filming will take place at Mansion House, the Georgian residence of the incumbent Lord Mayor of York during their term.
The Press understands the footage will be used for an upcoming ITV period drama.
Filming will take place today and Wednesday, September 22.
Built in 1732 for the Lord Mayor of York, Mansion House was once the thriving heart of York society and it’s a masterpiece of 18th-century architecture from head to toe.

York's Mansion House was one of several buildings used in filming for ITV's Victoria, historical television drama series featuring former Dr Who star Jenna Coleman.
The city's cobbled streets were also used in the next series of Sally Wainwright's popular costume drama, Gentleman Jack.
The latest filming saw excited fans spot star Suranne Jones in College Street and Castlegate in November 2020.
