YORK's only five-star hotel is hosting a recruitment day on Tuesday, September 28, following its busiest three months since opening in 2010.
As the hospitality industry gets back into full swing, The Grand hotel in York is expanding its services in response to the high number of guests.
Anyone interested should turn up between 10.30am and 6.30pm, with interviews guaranteed.
Roles include front office positions, food and beverage associates, including bar and host / banqueting, room attendants, property maintenance, luggage porters, car jockeys, kitchen porters and a reservationist.
The Cookery School is looking for a tutor to showcase culinary skills to others, while vacancies also include chef de partie, pastry chef de partie, junior sous and sous chef, and the nights team needs a receptionist, porter, chef, and assistant night manager.
General manager Simon Mahon said: “At The Grand and throughout the hospitality industry as a whole, there are roles suitable for a variety of individuals and skills.
"As long as individuals are eager to create memorable experiences for guests, The Grand family would be delighted to welcome them.
"Our team are the heart and soul of the hotel and without them we are simply a beautiful building - with them, we are The Grand.
"After experiencing the busiest three months since the hotel opened in 2010, we’re looking for more enthusiastic team members to support such exciting times in hospitality."
