POLICE will be holding drop-in surgeries and collecting the contents of their blue "letter boxes" in York on Monday.
Police Community Support Officers Louise Scott and Nigel Colley will be holding the surgeries at the mobile police station, which will be parked outside the Copmanthorpe Recreation Centre between 10am and midday. It will also be at the Poppleton Recreation Centre between 1pm and 3pm.
Local residents will be able to stop for a chat and raise any concerns they have about crime or anti-social behaviour in their area.
The Press told last month how officers had put up the letter boxes, which are designed to get feedback from members of the public the area, at Poppleton Library, Copmanthorpe Library and the Co-op at Poppleton.
Alongside the boxes are forms which people can fill in. Sergeant Andy Haigh, of the Safer Communities Team for the area, said: "We have put them in places in the community where a lot of members of the public go.
"It's a good way for them to contact us so they can have their say about what is happening in their area."
