Has anyone else been totally shocked by the fare increase on York's bus service this week?
The flat rate fare has increased from £1.50 to £2.50 for a single journey into York.
When the Government has a wage freeze of under three per cent in operation, how can a bus company get away with such a massive 60 per cent increase?
A return ticket has also gone up by 40p so over a month that adds an average £20 to a person making regular single journeys and another £8 to those making regular returns.
So have any readers had a £20 (or even £8) wage increase to help subsidise their travel?
