POLICE are investigating after a car fire.
North Yorkshire Fire And Rescue say they were called out to Main Street in Elvington in York at 11.20pm yesterday (September 29) to reports of a car blaze.
On arrival they found the car to be well alight.
Station manager Tony Walker said: "A crew from York have just dealt with a car fire in the village of Elvington.
"Two breathing apparatus and one hose reel were used to put the fire out.
"The fire is of deliberate origin so our colleagues in blue at North Yorkshire Police are now investigating."
