A FORMER hairdressing salon in York looks set to become a late night venue under plans before the city council.
Moda hair salon in Stonebow could become a licensed cafe/restaurant under new proposals.
Ms Samhera Waseem, director of Cat In The Wall Ltd, York, has submitted a planning application to City of York Council to change the use of the salon into a restaurant and bar.
Cat In The Wall, which became an active company in May is based at 61 Cordwainers Court, Black Horse Lane,York.
The planning application (reference: 21/02001/FUL) is seeking to change the premises at 4 Stonebow from a shop(use class E) to restaurant/cafe (use class E) and drinking establishment.
Earlier this summer, Ms Waseem applied for an alcohol licence for the venue too.
It would allow the business to serve alcohol from noon to midnight every day.
The cafe/restaurant would be open daily from 8am to midnight.
