I AGREE with the resident of Wellington Street (Our Christmas waste collection was rubbish, Letters, January 4).
The sight of overflowing bins over the Christmas period was disgusting.
The council gave us all notices telling us when they would be collecting.
But judging by the number of bins still out for the whole of Christmas week, some people ignored this advice, making walking down the street hazardous.
It was even worse after dark, as they were all over the path. Heaven help someone with walking difficulties.
But this is not an isolated incident in this street. So please take pride in your street and remove your bins. It looks much nicer.
