Bonfire Night is almost here as we wrap up in our cosiest coats and watch the skies light up in bright and beautiful colours.

So if you're looking to celebrate the annual event, these are some of the biggest firework displays near you.

York

North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service Community Firework Display

Taking place at Rawcliffe Bar Country Park - Park and Ride on November 6 from 5pm. The bonfire starts at 7pm and the display starts at 7.30pm.

Adult tickets cost £10, child tickets go for £5 and under 5's go free.

All proceeds go to the Fire Fighters Charity.

Autumn Lights

This fireworks spectacular is taking place after Guy Fawkes Night at Elvington Airfield, Elvington.

The event takes place on Saturday, November 20 between 2pm and 9pm. Tickets are from £40.

Expect hot air balloons, street food and drinks, a funfair and fireworks.

Outside of York

Tockwith Show Field

This annual bonfire and fireworks night will see the bonfire lit at 6pm and a grand fireworks display from 7pm.

Taking place on Friday, November 5, tickets cost £5.

Aldwark Community Bonfire Night

Tickets cost £5 each - including a hot dog or hamburger to fill up before the firework show begins.

The event starts from 5.30pm on November 5 at the Aldwark Arms.

Acorn Rugby Club's Big Bang Firework Spectacular

Expect street food, funfair rides and a great firework display at Acorn Rugby Club on Thursday, November 4. The display starts at 8pm.

Tickets on the gate cost £2.50 while under 5s and OAP's go free.

Easingwold Scout Bonfire

Raising funds for the local Scout group, tickets for this fireworks display cost £5 per person and £15 for a family.

Fireworks start at 7pm while you can find free parking, refreshments and a raffle at the Easingwold Maize Maze Field.

Helmsley Fireworks

Enjoy fireworks to a music soundtrack, a raffle with a winning prize of being the lucky person to set off the display, refreshments, glow toys and a disco.

Taking place at Helmsley Recreation Ground, Baxtons Sprunt, this event is happening on Thursday, November 4 from 5.45pm. Tickets cost £5 but under 5's go free.

Selby and surrounding areas

Selby Community Bonfire and Fireworks Event

This free fireworks display takes place at Selby Community Centre on November 6.

Gates open at 6pm - promising a bonfire and fireworks display, children’s fairground rides and hot food and drink.

Bonfire Night at Byram Park Social Club

Enjoy pie and peas in front of a bonfire and firework display and DJ set. It is taking place on November 6 from 7pm.
