Taxi drivers are the ones who really know how road closures affect traffic, says John Zimnoch
I am with CP Hird (Groves closures just shift traffic elsewhere, Letters, November 3) on the extra pollution caused by increased time-delaying traffic jams due to the Groves being blocked off.
Better to listen to a taxi driver than a car-hating cyclist.
It seems the only way to get thing backs to normal with sensible traffic plans is to vote the Lib Dem/Greens out at the first available opportunity.
Common sense would then take over at Gillygate and Bootham - and some blue badge parking would be regained.
