AFTER selling out the first night at a popular city venue, a well-known York band are set to put on a second show.
Skylights, made up of four friends from the city, are set to perform at Acomb Working Mens Club in York on December 16.
However, due to popular demand and a 500-ticket sell-out on the first night, the band have announced a second show the following day.
Turnbull Smith, guitarist in the band, said: "To play a show in the area we are from and grew up in is great and we want to thank all the people that supported us from the start.
"Putting a second night on is the icing on the cake - and I can see it been a proper Christmas party atmosphere."
The last year has been an exciting time for the band, playing sell-out shows in Leeds, Manchester and York. They also recently performed their debut arena gig at the homecoming for the Olympic athletes at Leeds arena, and supported renowned York-based band Shed Seven during their gig at Piece Hall in Halifax.
Mr Smith added: "We've also had TV appearances on Soccer AM and Look North. To come back to Acomb where our support started is something we have always wanted to do."
Tickets for the band's Acomb gig are on sale now and can be purchased here.
