TODAY is Remembrance Day where we fall silent in tribute to our war dead.

Our Camera Club members have paid their own respects in these remarkable images from across York and North Yorkshire.

Sue Smith posted a photo of St Helen’s Church in Riccall where knitted ‘poppies’ have been displayed by the Riccall Knit and Natter Group.

Mark Barratt shared a poignant photo of poppies in a field at Marston Moor, the site of the English civil war battle of Marston Moor, with the message #wewillrememberthem.
