A PERFUME store is officially launching at a York shopping centre this weekend.

The Fragrance Shop is opening on Saturday with goodie bag give-aways to the first 25 customers.

It is the latest brand to move to Monks Cross in recent months and will be the company's second York store, with another at McArthur Glen Designer Outlet.

Monks Cross centre manager Katherine Sharp said: “We are delighted to welcome The Fragrance Shop to Monks Cross, just in time for the exciting Christmas shopping period. This latest opening continues momentum of several new brands joining the shopping park within the last six months. We are sure that the new store will be well received by visitors to Monks Cross.”

The Fragrance Shop’s regional retail director Steve Brant, said: “At The Fragrance Shop, we couldn’t be prouder of our growth trajectory on the high street this year, especially after the turbulence of the past 18 months.

The Fragrance Shop will be hosting an exclusive launch event at the brand-new York Monks Cross store on Saturday, giving away goodie bags to the first 25 customers, and shoppers can enjoy exclusive discounts and free samples throughout the day.
