Railway Institute got their first win of the York John Smith's Darts League division one season as they beat Clifton B' 5-4.
The victory included singles triumphs for Tony Robinson, Ken Moment and Steve Forth.
All was level going into the last game, when Pete Watson and Tom Turley took the glory.
Rich Corner (180, 14 darts) starred for Mitre A' in their 7-2 win against St Clement's.
Pack Of Cards duo Paul Mizon Snr (19, 17) and Greg Robinson (180 for 19) were unable to stop Clifton A', for whom Martyn Turner had 2 x 18.
In division two, Mark Hudson (21) and Colin Gibson (20) helped Falcon to another win, this time 6-3 over Edinburgh.
Graham Phillips checked out in 111 in Bootham's 8-2 win over Tramways in division three.
