Thanks to Couns Galloway and Ann Reid for the creation of an additional multi-million pound bottleneck on the outer ring road.
I refer to the newly-constructed roundabout at the Moor Lane/ Askham Lane junction on the ring road, which at 8.45am on Wednesday had long queues backing towards Wetherby Road roundabout.
This was purely as a result of the construction of this constriction to aid, in the Lib Dems words, the few dozen cars exiting Moor Lane compared to the thousands now suffering further delays on the outer ring road. And this is before the opening of the additional arm serving Moor Lane.
If electors are looking to save millions in the budget, as the ruling Lib Dem group seem to be suggesting, I suggest not wasting money on unnecessary schemes such as this might have helped them avoid landing in their financial mess.
