PACK star Sam Broughton bagged a hat-trick of tries as Selby RUFC Under-14s stormed into round four of the Yorkshire Cup with a 48-0 victory over Skipton.
A full-strength Selby side showed no mercy as they totally demolished a good Skipton side at Sandhill Lane.
Lock Broughton turned in a powerful display to claim his treble, while centre Adam Brown contributed a try in each half.
Jamie Skelton, Ben Spence and Adam Wass piled on the misery for Skipton with further tries.
Josh Cruise had a mixed day with the boot, landing four and missing three of his conversion attempts.
Sam Hough was off target with his only attempt towards the end of the second half.
Selby's coaching team refreshed the line-up with timely replacements and the green machine rolled on without skipping a beat.
Special mention must be made for the players who provided the platform for this victory.
The forwards hunted as a unit from start to finish, Grant Nicholson and Jay Robinson worked tirelessly with slashing runs deep into Skipton territory, Mikey Naylor had an industrious afternoon at scrum-half and fly-half Josh Cruise's kicking from hand was sublime.
Selby's next opponents have yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, Selby's junior section has been boosted by a sponsorship deal with Bawtry Road-based firm Doosan Babcock Energy.
Arthur Adamson, the Sandhill Lane club's president, received a set of new reversible Kukri training shirts from Steve Hunt, of Doosan Babcock before the club's recent first team home game with Keighley.
A club spokesman said: "Selby rugby club youth section would like to thank Doosan Babcock and all other sponsors for their support this season."
