Dancers were gathering today in the Nave of York Minster to enjoy circle dancing to music from around the world.
Live music was being provided by circle dance band Best Foot and the evening was being led by Karen Michaelsen, a circle dance teacher based in York.
Karen said: "This evening attracts scores of people from all over the region and offers a unique opportunity to dance in the Nave, which has been cleared of its chairs. All of the dances are easy to learn. Beginners and people of all ages are welcome. A partner is not necessary."
Due to the popularity of this annual event, admission is strictly by ticket only. There are a small number of return tickets available. Phone Karen on 01904 788058 to reserve a free admission ticket. The evening begins at 7.30pm.
