In response to Mr P Willey (Tackle Real Issues, Letters, January 12).
We were somewhat surprised to read Mr Willey's letter in your pages concerning ward walkabouts and councillors' availability to discuss issues with their constituents.
We would like to point out to all residents in Heworth ward that they can contact us at any time, as has always been stated in our ward communications, with any problems that they may have on the following numbers: Ruth 01904 415113; Paul 01904 491294 and Tina 01904 613041.
Labour councillors will always campaign and fight for improvements to the city, including the replacement of litter bins and removal of graffiti where it is necessary. We make no apology for that and believe it reflects residents' wishes.
Coun Paul Blanchard, Chaucer Lane, York.
Coun Tina Funnell, Upper Price Street, York.
Coun Ruth Potter, Chaucer Street, York.
