Division one leaders Bootham A' were made to fight hard for a 6-4 success over Coneysthorpe A' in the NEDL York and District Table Tennis League.

Martin Lowe won his singles for Coneysthorpe.

Holgate A' picked up a 7-3 win over University A' with Graham Hatfield turning in his best performance of the season, including a fine win over Jan Natolski.

Richard Moss helped Sessions A' to a win by the same score over Malton. RI A' thumped bottom club Holgate B' 9-1, with Paul Robertson and John Hughes undefeated.

Division two leaders Coneysthorpe B' dropped two games to RI C', but Paul Young and Paul Cresswell were unbeaten.

Division four player Colin Dickson picked up Holgate E's single point in the 9-1 defeat at the hands of Holgate C'.

Holgate E' were then beaten 7-3 by RI C' with Pat Swindell leading the way for the railwaymen.

Rich McCarthy was undefeated but his RI B' side were pushed all the way by strugglers Bootham B' before winning 6-4.

In division three, Sessions B' produced a good performance to win 9-1 at Shepherds B' with Terry Nicholson and Laurent Minette unbeaten.

Leaders Shepherds A' maintained the gap at the top though with a win by the same score over RI D', with Stu Stevens and Dave Lamb unbeaten.

BT A' are keeping up the chase in third spot and they made no mistake in disposing of Bootham D' 9-1, with Dave Norville and Howard Broadbent starring.

NEDL/Bootham took on a two-man Bootham C' side and made it count in a 6-4 win, with Richard Ingleby unbeaten for the losers.

University B' and BT B' are having a good tussle for the division four title and they played out a draw with Jim Stevenson unbeaten.

Steve Webster and John Graham led Shepherds D' to an 8-2 success over Norwich Union A'.

John Stokes was undefeated for Sessions C' in the 6-4 win over Shepherds C'.
